The International Jazz Festival of Alicante (FIJAZZ) on the Costa Blanca returns this summer from 9 and 23 July. A total of seven concerts will be held at the Auditorium of the Alicante Provincial Council.

Some of the finest jazz singers will be taking part at the International Jazz Festival Fijazz. On 9 July the versatile guitarist Al Di Meola will present his new project on the music of The Beatles. On 10 July is Gregory Porter with his powerful voice and taste when interpreting jazz-soul compositions, and who is still a must for jazz critics worldwide. Nine times Grammy award winner and one of the best Cuban trumpeters of his generation, Arturo Sandoval will perform on 11 July. On Friday 12 July see the performance of two exceptional artists the James Carter Organ Trio who is accompanied by bluesman Joe Louis Walker.

The following Tuesday 17 July sees pianist extraordinaire and Grammy award winner Michel Camilo with Cliff Almond and Lincoln Goines. There is an evening with legendary saxophonist Branford Marsalis on 18 July, brother of the great trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. And to close this fantastic event on 23 July will be the famous American singer Al Jarreau, who has won seven Grammy awards and his hits include Never Givin' Up, We're In This Love Together and the theme song to the hit TV show Moonlighting.

All concerts will begin at 10pm and tickets cost from €15 to €30 and are available from El Corte Ingles (902 400 222) and Instant Ticket (965 117 117).
