Whether you are in a campsite or in a luxury hotel, at the beach or in the mountains, in the city or in the countryside, the Easter break is the perfect time for families to enjoy together.

Adventure Day

Nestled in between the villages of San Miguel de Salinas and Torremendo is where you will find Lo Rufete. This is a rural finca were you can practise adventure sports, and is ideal for families to enjoy nature while doing sports, such as quad riding, horse riding, paintball, archery, kayaks, zip wire, eco-friendly cars. Lo Rufete surrounding vegetation of pines and scrubs, mainly count on the modern agriculture of oranges and lemons that release a sweet aroma.

Relax and Chill Out

Parque Natural de El Hondo

This Nature Park has an area of 2,495 hectares, with an abundance of aquatic species and bird life. There is a visitor’s centre with information about the flora and fauna, picnic benches, twitching huts, a 4 km circular walking trail with information boards and a 16 km cycle trail.

Regional Park of El Valle and Carrascoy

El Valle and Carrascoy in Murcia is pure nature. There is an abundance of fauna and flora. There is an abundance of signposted walking and cycling routes, a road to the top of El Relojeroat 609 metres and even a children’s play area with BBQ facilities and plenty of picnic tables positioned throughout the park.

Fonts del Algar

Explore the river, waterfalls and pools at your leisure. Walk alongside the river, take a dip in the rock pools, dangle your feet in the flowing water, enjoy your picnic or find a quiet spot to sit under the pine trees. You can exit by following the path uphill behind the first aid station which will take you to the arboretum, picnic area and museum of the environment. The museum houses various exhibits about the local flora and fauna. Further up the hill there is a botanical garden with over 500 different species of cactus and succulents.

The park has managed to set an atmosphere of leisure and relaxation with walking areas, water features, two lakes with life, several miniature trains and playgrounds, recreation areas and information offices.

Attraction Park

A great day out for the young and old is a day at an amusement park. Terra Mitica is the largest and most exciting theme park in Europe. There are rides adapted for different ages from roller coasters to shows with which the whole family will enjoy.

A Day with the Animals

A day among animals is also exciting. Terra Natura and Mundomar in Benidrom are perfect places to spend a different day and see the face of the smallest to the acrobatics of dolphins.

Terra Natura is a new-generation wildlife park where you can discover the “Zooimmersion” experience – a new concept in habitat design which will enable you to come into contact with the animals as if there were no barriers between you – at least, no visible ones!

At Mundomar you will see the most exotic bird fauna imaginable, particularly wild swans, ducks, pelicans and many aquatic birds including the magnificent flamingos, for their colour and majesty.

A visit to a Mine

Nothing is more exciting to venture into the bowels of the earth and discover a genuine mine. La Union Mining Park covers an area of 50.000m², and it is a privileged space in the Sierra Minera, in the Region of Murcia. It is a place where visitors can experience how miners lived and worked, as they left their mark in this astonishing Heritage.

City Break

Valencia during Easter offers a wide range in cultural, culinary and religious. Semana Santa in Valencia is called Semana Santa Marinera. There are colourful processions in the maritime district, which has a festive atmosphere. The streets are full of people socializing over the event - music bands, members of brotherhoods, residents, all effortlessly bringing a touch of carnival into religion.

On the Beach with the Flintstones
